People...

The congregation of Saint John’s is small yet vibrant bringing members of different nationalities together as one. All ages are well represented here with a good number of old Kensal Green folk who have lived here all their lives as well as young families and international students.

The worship of the Church is centred on the Eucharist which is celebrated every other day. The Churchmanship is ‘High’ although a greater emphasis is placed on singing and preaching than on ritual. Saint John’s folk enjoy singing accompanied as they are by a small ‘Father Willis’ organ with famous connections to Sir John Stainer. There is a well established servers guild for boys and girls and we often host servers from local churches who are members of the Guild of the Servants of the  Sanctuary (GSS).

The Saint John’s Guild for the Blind has a thriving branch here and there is a monthly service for the ministry of healing.

The Church is open most days when the pastoral team say Morning and Evening Prayer together and for weekday masses.
